Mr. He Yongkun is an outstanding artist of the Yunnan School and a leading Chinese printmaker and painter. Over the last 20 years his artworks have been exhibited regularly at the prestigious national Chinese print and art exhibitions and have won several prizes. In 1998 the artist was awarded by Yunnan province government as an "Outstanding Professional". Recently several private galleries outside China (Italy, U.S.A.) have been preparing exhibitions of the artist's works.

Mr. He Yongkun was born in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province in January 1953. In 1982 he graduated from the Printmaking Department of Yunnan Arts University. In 1992 he finished additional studies at China National Academy of Fine Arts.
Mr. He Yongkun is now teaching students as a professor and as president of the Art Design Academy of Yunnan Arts University. He is active both as a printmaker and a painter. Over the last ten years the artist has established a reputation as one of China's leading painter and printmaker.
Currently (mid 2006) Mr. He Yongkun's artworks are exhibited in Italy and an exhibition in the U.S.A. is in preparation.
Mr. He Yongkun has a long history of successful participations in national Chinese print and art exhibitions. His printworks have won several prizes. He is one of the few artists in today's China with an exhibition record outside China. His works have been shown in China, the United States, Japan and Europe. In 1998, he was awarded by the Yunnan province government as an "Outstanding Professional".
